I operate privately at St John of God Berwick Hospital.
I see limited public patients, who I can refer to the public system through Monash Health at Casey, Dandenong, Cranbourne, or Moorabbin. For regional patients, I also have public appointments at LaTrobe Regional Hospital and Wonthaggi/Cowes I can also refer regional women to these sites for public operations, usually on my own list.
In short, no. If I see you for an appointment in the public system this is entirely separate and run by the public hospital where I have seen you - I am only available on days I am rostered to work at that site. While it would be ideal if healthcare records were freely available across settings, the healthcare system does not work that way. This means that my private rooms are not able to access your record, alter any appointments or answer questions about your care or test results. Please call the outpatient clinic at the public hospital where you have been seen (or ring the hospital and ask for the gynaecology doctor on call if urgent) for queries if you are a public patient.
